2021: Signed a technology transfer and strategic cooperation agreement for the CHC2014 with Singapore’s AUM Biosciences; Invested in Welt & signed a strategic partnership on R&D; Invested in Spark Biophama & signed a strategic partnership on R&D

2019: Invested in Rezolute Inc. & signed a strategic partnership on R&D; Invested in TRIGR Therapeutics (Currently Compass Therapeutics); Invested in SCM Lifescience & signed a strategic partnership on R&D; Invested in ABLBio & signed a strategic partnership on R&D

2018: Certified for ‘Leading company to overcome dementia’ by National Institute of Dementia and Seoul Metropolitan Center for Dementia

2016: Took over Theravalues, Japanese functional ingredients company; Re-certified for a ‘Best Family Friendly Management’ by Ministry of Gender Equality and Family; Handok Eumseong factory, selected as a ‘Green Company’ certified by Ministry of Environment for the 5th consecutive time (~ 2019)

2015: Launched spin-off of R&D Medical Device Division Handok Kalos Medical; Re-opened Handok Medicine and Pharmacy Museum

2014: Took over Pacific Pharmaceutical’s pharmaceutical business division; Selected as a ‘World-Class 300’ certified by Small and Medium Business Administration

2013: Changed company name from Handok Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd to Handok Inc.; Established a joint venture, Teva-Handok

2012: Ended a joint shareholding relationship with Sanofi; Selected as a Korea Innovative Pharmaceutical Company certified by Ministry of Health and Welfare

2011: Completed high-tech upgrade of Eumseong manufacturing plant; Handok CSR received Cultural Heritage Administration Prize; Received presidential recognition for industrial accident prevention

2010: Awarded the “Excellence prize for transparent management” by Korea’s five major economic organizations, including KEF, FKI

2009: Awarded the “Grand prize for transparent accounting” by the Korean Accounting Association (KAA); Developed a company-wide education program (“Handok Innovation School”); Launched the “Handok Volunteer Group”.

2008: Received the “Ethical Management Award” from the Health Industry CEO Summit; Adopted new corporate slogan: “The Health Innovator”

2007: Announced 10-year strategy (“Declaration of Vision 2016”); Opened the Training Institute Building in Eumseong for employees of Handok; Introduction of Handok Code of Ethics; Transfer of Research Center to Seoul

2006: Declaration of independent operation as Handok, independent of Sanofi-aventis; Established Handok Jeseok Foundation, a non-profit public service corporation whose major activities include managing the Handok Museum of Medicine and Pharmacy and supporting scholarships for undergraduate students; Achieved highest rating for good manufacturing practice (GMP) performance from the Korean Food & Drug Administration for all 5 dosage forms manufactured in the Eumseong Plant

2005: Established HANDOK Sanofi-Aventis, following the merger of SanofiSynthelabo and Aventis.

2002: Achieved Environment/Health/Safety system ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, KOSHA 18001

2000: Established HANDOK Aventis, following the merger of Hoechst, Germany and Rhone-Poulenc, France.
