Handok
enters agreement with Seoul Songdo Hospital Center for Cancer and Immunology to
supply nutritional supplements with theracurmin

Handok (CEO Youngjin Kim) entered an
agreement with the Seoul Songdo Hospital to supply the Q Series, nutritional
supplements with theracurmin. Handok’s Q Series contains Vitamin D, Vitamin C,
Omega 3, and includes theracurmin as a secondary ingredient. The suggested
daily dosage includes 150mg of curcumin.

Theracurmin is a form of curcumin, a
substance extracted from turmeric, the main ingredient for curry, that has been
modified to become more easily absorbed by the body. Curcumin, labeled one of
the ten super foods by Time Magazine, is a coarse fat soluble substance that is
sometimes difficult for the body to dissolve. Through this agreement, patients
in the Seoul Songdo Hospital can now conveniently purchase Handok’s Q Series,
nutritional supplement with Theracurmin, at the nutrition center in the
hospital’s Center for Cancer and Immunology.

Seoul Songdo Hospital Center for Cancer and
Immunology has been leading the fight against cancer since 2008 and operates a
cancer immunity enhancement center and cancer immunity cell research center to
help cancer patients live without relapse and metastasis. The Seoul Songdo
Hospital currently sells ‘Vitamin D 1000Q’, ‘Vitamin C 1000Q’, and ‘Omega 3
1000Q’ from the Q Series in its nutrition center.

An affiliate of the Seoul Songdo Hospital
stated, “Patients’ interest in the easily dissolvable theracurmin has been on
the rise, which led us to enter a supply agreement with Handok as they are the
only company to distribute theracurmin in Korea.”

An affiliate of Handok stated, “Through the
supply agreement with Seoul Songdo Hospital, we plan to gradually increase our
distribution of nutrition supplements that contain theracurmin,” adding, “By
securing a variety of distribution channels, we plan to actively inform cancer
patients and senior consumers about the benefits of theracurmin.”

Meanwhile, Handok acquired Japan’s Theravalues,
distributor of theracurmin, last November to become the country’s only
theracurmin distributor and conduct research for other theracurmin products.
