Handok hosts Unison Festival for 2,100 employees and their families in celebration of its 60th found
Marking the 60th anniversary of its foundation, Handok (CEO Young-jin Kim) held a unison festival for which it invited 910 employees and executives and their 1,200 family members to Everland in Yongin on October 17th. The event was organized to express appreciation to the employees and executives for working hard to develop the company and their family members for cheering them on and to celebrate the company’s 60th anniversary. The festival included an award ceremony to give Long-term Employment Awards, 5 Value Awards, and Handok Member Awards.
This year, Handok engaged in various activities to celebrate its 60th anniversary. For example, the company held the exhibition titled “Special Exhibition to Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Handok and the 50th Anniversary of Handok Museum of Medicine and Pharmacy: Joseon Dynasty’s Four Phases of Life” at the National Palace Museum of Korea from July 15 to October 5. The exhibition was very successful as it drew a total of over 80,000 visitors in just two months. In September, the pharmaceutical firm organized the R&D symposium, presenting progress in research on targeted cancer treatment drugs, new target metabolic disease drugs, and the medical device for treating hypertension, which are all under development at the Handok Central Lab. In addition, the company invited a total of 82 families totaling 456 people to three rounds of one-night and two-day camping trips as part of its annual family trip package for the employees.
