Handok Manufacturing Plant Remodeling Completed

Handok Pharmaceuticals has completed the remodeling and expansion of its Eumseong manufacturing plant. With modernized and fully computerized facilities, Eumseong is now a state-of-the-art factory operating to international standards that will help Handok deliver on-time supply of medicinal products to meet the rising demands of global partners.

The 20 billion won renovation project will also help Handok meet global quality control standards. Upgrades have raised the facility’s previous GMP standard one level to the highest global standard. New technology has been installed to prevent mix-up and cross-contamination, to reduce health risk and environmental pollution, and to assure quality.

The upgrades will enable Eumseong to manufacture an increased volume of quality products for export. The installation of new manufacturing equipment, such as high-tech milling and coating machines, increases yearly production capacity by 1.6 billion tablets.
