On March 31, Handok signed a contract with AT Pharma, a subsidiary of Hydra Pharm Group, Algeria’s largest pharmaceutical company, to export Handok’s Ketotop® (ketoprofen), worth KRW 10 billion, to Algeria.

The contract gives AT Pharma exclusive rights to the distribution and marketization of Ketotop®, a topical treatment for muscle spasms and arthritic pain, for seven years in Algeria starting in 2021. The Algerian market for ketoprofen plasters continues to grow and is expected to reach USD 17 million in value by 2022. Handok hopes this contract will facilitate its plans to export Ketotop® to the rest of North Africa and the Middle East in partnership with Hydra Pharm Group.
