In Pangyo on April 11, Handok signed a partnership agreement with MiCo BioMed, a developer and manufacturer of in-vitro diagnostic devices and kits, for the exclusive right to distribute the latter’s cholesterol meter in Korea.

The latest contract will give Handok the right to handle domestic marketing and distribution of MiCo’s Barozen Lipid, an at-home cholesterol meter, as well as Barozen Lipid Plus for professionals. The two products are to be launched on the Korean market in May. Barozen is the brand name for MiCo’s series of blood glucose meters that garnered more than KRW 10 billion in sales last year. Handok intends to expand the Barozen brand to include a comprehensive range of solutions for lifestyle and chronic disease care.
