Handok signed an original equipment manufacturing (OEM) agreement with Inbody, a Korean manufacturer of medical devices, at the latter’s headquarters in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, on April 25.

The agreement will allow the two parties to manufacture Barozen Automatic Blood Pressure Monitors for personal use (HBP 170) and Barozen Automatic Blood Pressure Monitors for professional use (HBP 570) for their launch in Korea in May.

Barozen is the brand name of Handok’s series of blood glucose meters that garnered over KRW 10 billion in Korean sales last year. The company plans to expand the brand to include a wide range of solutions for lifestyle and chronic diseases. Handok also signed an exclusive distributorship agreement with MiCo BioMed on April 11 for the distribution of Barozen cholesterol meters in Korea.
